Handmade in Scotland, the Iona Maclean's Cross Pendant has been crafted from Sterling Silver and hangs on a 18 inch chain.
Inspired by the Crosses of Iona, the Maclean's cross stands at the junction of three medieval streets, between the Abbey and the Nunnery on the island of Iona, and is a fine, Hebridean-type freestanding cross of 15th-century date. It is carved with dense interlacing and entwined foliage with a depiction of Christ crucified on the west face.
In the past Pilgrims filing up from the boats would have stopped here to say a prayer on their way to Iona Abbey and St Columba’s Shrine.
