>An intricate, fine Jacquard woven wall tapestry with an acanthus leaf border.
This Strawberry Thief design is the unmistakeable design of William Morris and would make a striking piece of art in any home.
The original tapestry was woven at Merton Abbey Surrey and it takes as its subject the thrushes that Morris found stealing fruit in his kitchen garden of his countryside home, Kelmscott Manor, in Oxfordshire.
Morris's designs formed a bridge between Victorian and modern designs, the emphasis being on timeless style and based on individuality of handcrafted work. The design still fits comfortably into today's interiors.
