A Neolithic-inspired dragon pendant, crafted in Sterling Silver and made by renowned Orkney jeweller Ortak. The carving is reminiscent of the famous Maeshowe dragon, carved into the tomb of Maeshowe by Norse raiders in the mid-1100s.  The original carving is a fine example of late Viking Age art and can still be seen today.  This pendant was designed by our runner up in the Maeshowe Jewellery competition.  Designed by Paula Hutchison, the year of Innovation, Architecture and Design.
