2027 Calendar - Scottish Castles Art Edition

Celebrate Scotland's rich heritage throughout the year with the 2027 Calendar - Scottish Castles Art Edition, featuring twelve beautifully illustrated scenes inspired by some of Scotland's most iconic historic sites.

Created by Francesca Cipars, an Illustration graduate from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (DJCAD), each artwork has been delicately rendered in watercolour, capturing the character, atmosphere and beauty of Historic Scotland's remarkable places.

This calendar originated as part of a collaborative project between Historic Scotland and DJCAD, where final-year Illustration students were challenged to develop a retail product suitable for Historic Scotland's gift shops. Students were tasked with considering everything from audience and brand identity to production and commercial viability, gaining valuable insight into the journey from concept to finished product.

Francesca's calendar design was selected from the student submissions for a limited production run and is now available exclusively through selected Historic Scotland sites and our online shop.

A charming addition to any home or office, this calendar celebrates Scottish heritage while showcasing emerging creative talent.
