Stirling Castle Kitchen

Inspired but the flamboyant arts and carvings of the 16th century Renaissance art revival that was in abundance at Stirling Castle under the Queen's reign - our Stirling Castle Bespoke Tableware range includes the famous Red Tulip, Fleur De Lys and Tapestry print, all of which were seen as a hugely fashionable trend at the time. The bold red especially is typical throughout the Castle and is thought to have been inspired by the stone carvings decorating the original 16th century fireplace in the Queen’s Bedchamber.

Fans of the most recent TV Drama 'Mary & George' may be familiar with one of the designs featured in our new homeware collection for Stirling Castle - the red Tulip Print featured throughout the series, just as it featured heavily in the Castle when the Queen, and then her son frequented it.
