An intricate, fine Jacquard woven wall tapestry with an acanthus leaf border.
This Orange Tree design is the unmistakable design of William Morris and would make a striking piece of art in any home. The original was woven at Merton Abbey Surrey and can be seen at the Cecil Higgins Art Gallery Museum in Bedford.
Morris's designs formed a bridge between Victorian and modern designs, the emphasis being on timeless style and based on individuality of handcrafted work. The design still fits comfortably into today's interiors.
