Maeshowe is a Neolithic chambered cairn on Orkney built around 2800 BCE and is a wonderful example of Neolithic craftsmanship.  The dragon is thought to have been carved into the stone wall in the 12th century by one of the Norsemen who broke into Maeshowe.  The Maeshowe dragon is the inspiration for the design of this exclusive cotton bag.
