This Declaration of Arbroath Wall Plaque commemorates a letter written in 1320 by Scottish barons to the pope, asking him to recognise Scotland's independence and acknowledge Robert the Bruce as the lawful king:

"As long as a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be subjected to the lordship of the English. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself".

Every plaque comes with a presentation note detailing the original stone and the historical significance of the declaration. Made from hand-cast stone effect resin, each durable plaque has an individual colour and tone making every item unique. This wall plaque comes strung and ready to hang. Wall fixings not included.

This is a wonderful gift for a history buff or someone proud of their Scottish heritage.
